The one problem with Fantasy it how on Earth are some races going to fight?
Like how often have the Lizardmen gon roaming around the Old World? I mean sure we re-took Albion, but when have we gone roaming around in the woods of the Old World? How would Beastmen and Tomb Kings fight? I mean one lives in the desert, and never leaves, and the other lives in the forest and leaves only for a while to sack the Empire and Elves. How about (non-southlands) Lizardmen and Tomb Kings? We don't leave Lustria unless you took something from us, or we are trying to wipe you out...but how would we get there is what Im saying. Now, how do you feel on this topic? Give us some more examples of this type isssue in WHFB. MHPoC

There is no such thing as an "unfluffy" fight[sup]1[/sup], only poor fluff-writing.
Take Lizardmen vs an "Old World" army... well, plenty of people go to Lustria in search of treasure, mundane or otherwise, so that's that sorted. Alternatively, if you're fighting in the Old World itself, perhaps a Slann has sent agents in order to retrieve a stolen artifact? As for Tomb Kings vs Bretonnians... well, there are lots of Barrows littering the Old World, in which reside the dead of a civilisation that is fairly similar in military composition to the Tomb Kings. Alternatively, how about a Bretonnian Duke or Baron who is met with visions of the Grail residing deep in the desert? [hr] [sup]1[/sup]This only applies so long as we only consider armies, not who is participating. Having Vadrek Krom fighting himself is pretty unfluffy for starters!

Well for lizardmen I see a simple explanation:
Each temple city as a gateway to all other temple cities- a la stargate- so the slann think we need to teach those young whippersnappers in theold world how to fight- we send an army through the gate to a southland temple and then force march up to whoever needs a good duffing up. Beastmen and tomb kings- I'm sure you could come up with a reason- one of the chaos gods promised them great riches if the beastmen go and invade khemri. Brettoninas also live on the borders of Khemri and just love proving their worth so they can fight anyone really. As for everyone else i'm sure there is a good explanatio if you think about it

Bretonnians don't live on the borders of Khemri...

Bretonnia joined in the Crusade against Araby, right?
If ever a reason for Bretonnian Knights to face Tomb Kings, it was then. |

Plus the Brets have a powerful navy, which can get troops around a bit.
However, the armies that the coastal cities would field would look more like Imperial armies than those in the current Bret book... (The Manann-worshipping nobles of Bordeleaux are fine with gunpowder - plus L'Anguille is pretty much run by a group of wannabe-Marienburgers!) Gary

Indeed, What with all that business up at Morsliev (or whatever they call it...), the Brets are happy to go a'whackin' the ol' deadites.
Plus, let's face it, a Bretonnian Crusade in full swing isn't easy to stop...

Beast men heards are scatterd across the world
Chaos cult and warbands are pretty much every wear ogers go wear the money / food is Orcs and greenskins for that matter live everywhere The empire like there spices and cheap imported goods (eg all the mertchents died so theres more for us) they've got the whole greed for gold thing necromancers and vampires want power and will travel in search of it. dwarfs have srong hold in every monutin in the oldworld and settlements where every they want who's going to move them on? lizard men pretty much rule whever ever theres a temple note theres temple south of the tomb kings. Tomb kings go on the little warpaths because they've got that urge for the good old days High elves like to rule over who ever they can do what they like and tell other races how inferior they are to them. this goes the same for wood elves but there just a bunch of hippies Dark elves like slaves of all sames and sizes Have I missed anything ou? Yes there is alot of unfluffy crap out there but lets face it if it was all down to fluff Orcs would have killed the world ten times over by now. KQD
