Default Dogs of War

Not a lot of time to post this post, but wanted to ask where I can find the current, official rules of Dags of War< I looked up the rules on the GW sight, but can tell they are updated.

Also, where can I find info for hiring Ogres? I would love to include a Maneater (just fluff reasons).

Last time I checked, it's in an old White Dwarf mag.

Well, actually two; one for the DoW list, one for Regiments of Renown.

Ogres are somewhat unclear. They are/were a Special choice, yet according to the GW site they are Rare.

Thus, my friends and I have agreed that Bulls and Ironguts are Special, Maneaters and Leadbelchers are Rare. It's not overpowered at all (took an Ogre-heavy force and got hammered...).

With Ogres, they are a rare choice unless taken in Dogs Of War, in which case they are special. However, Maneaters still take up 2 slots.

They don't have special rules or points in it. I do have it though-thats what inspired me to take some.

I'm guessing the Ogre unit rules are in the Ogre Kingdoms book. Thanks guys for the help!

the ogre unit in that list is a generalist ogre unit of joe bloggs ogres recruited by mercenaries, not the bulls, ironguts, leadbelcher and maneaters option that is in the GW site.

are you absolutely certain, that they cost rare choices in all other armies, but in purist DoW armies, they cost the same number of slots but are special slots instead of rare choices.

if you are totally certain, where did you obtain this information?

Well, if I wanted to know the rules for ogres as mercenaries.....the first place I'd look would be the ogres army book.
