What do you think?

2,000points.

Wizzard lord, level 4, hexstaff, dispel scroll, horse.

Wizzard, level 2, rod of power, horse.

Wizzard, level 2, 2 dispel scrolls, horse.

Wizzard, level 2, 2 dispel scrolls.

5 knights, standard, musician.

5 knights, standard, musician.

5 knights, standard, musician.

5 huntsmen.

Mortar.

Cannon.

Helblaster.

1) 90% of the time it does not need it.

2) It actually dosent, 3 units of knights and stank are crushing, especally when you have not much of a army left after the first two rounds. This army massacred brettonians and can generally beat RAF as well.

I've got to agree with the others. I'm sure you can sacrifice a wizard and a cannon to put together a nice unit of greatswords or possibly halberdiers.

Greatswords/halbaders are worthless. A warplightning or a calvery charge and they are gone, plus they are too slow to deny enemy movement.

It really all depends upon who you are versing! against dwarves, this list could really suck. You also will find trouble against troops that are both fast and highly combat orientated, these could spell devestation for your lines if they reached you in combat.

The knights I assume are sacrificial lambs to simply halt the enemy advance while you continue to blast them? I wouldnt like to come up against it, but with carefull planning I know my druchii army could put it to shame.

Try and get us a battle report.

My friend used this list at the UKGT heat one.

He beat:

3 daemonic legion armys
A 2nd gen slann led skink army.
He drew against a VC army.
He lost to a RAF army. However because of this he has been practesing against them and now generally beats them.


How will your druchii or dwarves stop 13-18 powerdice a turn from wizzards who will be out of sight in a wood all game? Or kill the stank when everything which can kill it is the first to die.

Greatswords/halbaders are not worthless IMO. Not all armies are designed to be lightning fast and capable of shooting everything down, that's more a 40k trait. The best armies are capable of seeing the enemies advancements and dispatching them appropriately. Greatswords and halbadiers are useful for getting rid of controlled enemy invasions.

In responce, an army like this has great weaknesses, cripple its magic, and ba ba boom.

1) Wizards can miscast at unfortunate times
2) Harpies, scouts are brilliant mage hunters
3) Shadowblade can jump into your lines automatically reaping carnage against such weakly foes
4) Mengil manhides manflayers are virtually impossible to hit via shooting, especially at close range

With Dwarves, a stupendously cheesy army full of nothing but bolt throwers, cannons and gyrocopters with all thunderers would be impossible to advance upon.

If they are not designed like this they will lose. Or never face my friend seeing as they wont get to the top tables.
