well i'm not familiar with the hell pit stuff, actually i did'nt know anything about it. what WD number is in?

I play with a balanced army with grey seer on screeming bell or Skyre army, is so nasty that must people don't play against it here. ;D, that much ranged weapons are something to fear >. and studing the Court of Nurglicht .

Remember that when we talk about rats we are talking numbers, the great question is how many points are you using? you are going for close combat?, shooting, magic, all of it?

More information is need it to help you better on it.

Cheers ;D

The Hell Pit army is fantastic.

Ive been very impressed of late with WD's alternate Fantasy army lists. This one even matches the Zombie Pirates.

It's hard to offer advice with an army like this though. Just take lots of your basic mainstay unit [Giant Rats in this case]. I'd take Goritch with a unit of Stormvermin as your main command unit.

Then a fair few basic Rat Ogres, add a few of the new Rat Ogre units in for flavour [such as Armoured Rat Ogres, Mutant Rat Ogres etc].

Then just pick one of the awesome big gribblies, my fave is the big tunelling Mole Rat [I bet Alessio Cavatore was stocked when he found out about that, I remember in the article that went with the Skaven Army Book release. Him ranting on about wanting one of these in the army].

Its a very customisable, personal army. There is a vast range of upgrades you can choose, most are effective. Just pick whatever you thinks cool. It should still work out on the battlefield.

Myself being a loyal Ratman, was ecstatic when I saw the army list. The Chimerat (IIRC) is by far the coolest conversion I have every seen, and I was going to change right there and then my current list with that one, until he informed me that it wasn't tourney legal...Still, all in all, an awesome army.

i finally see the pics for the Hell Pit army, very nice convertions are open for this army , but i really not much impresed by this list, i think maybe i change the idea after i put my hands in the list.

The only problem i really see is that is not a tourny legal list. :-\.

And the chimerat, well is open for convertions, i really don't like the ones on the GW site but i think can do better ones.

Screw tournament legal... it's awesome, that's all that matters!

This is from the voice of a loyal rat ( played skaven for 7 years and have 362 rats in my garage) i just spent a better part of the night helping a friend do his hell pit list and model. The modeling is what is going to get everyone i did a chimerat a tunneler and a unit of throtlings and my brain and 3 rat ogre/giant rat boxes are gone. All i am going to say is be careful on buying what you need cause those boxes are not cheap. Also look into coverting a army standard. i payed a game using the list cause that bonus saved me twice. And the main thing is have fun it is a fun list so have fun.

Here is a link to a good rat ogre model

Now i am off to figure out how to get 200$ worth of skaven past the wife.

I liked this list as well, and throtlings look crazy!
Anyways, lot's of rat ogres, and more rat ogres, and armoured rat ogres and more rat ogres....
I think you get the point.
