Default Gonna' Start Fantasy

I've been thinking about this for a long time, and I have finally decided to dive in.

I had been looking at the diffrent army's for a while and decided to get the Orcs and Gobblins, and i had also seen that my dad would like the Empire or Bretonians. While checking out the online store I found the starter box (90 bucks). That comes with a small collection of the Orcs, and another for the Empire. I must say I was happy. I asked my dad if he would play with me, and he said yes. I hope I can get him into the whole hobby and collecting a great army.

I'm going to get that, the last few paints I need for the diffrent models, and both of their books (Are they still Codex in Fantasy?).

that's going to be a good start for you, the starter batallion box gets you to start on small battles, you can do as well some skirmish scenarios to.

Yes, that box just have the rulebook so is good idea to buy as well the 2 codexes at the same time so you can get use to the units and what you want to build up and what works better for you.

The orks are based on numbers and numbers plus it has very good characters and lords, they are a Close combat race and the goblins works like suport and fire base to.

In the other hand the empire is very flexible, so be carefull when build in your list here, the most balanced army of the empire is numbers, yes have a central unit and add 1 or 2 attachments to it, the Attachments are the hart of the Empire and their lords are good and little points cost.

Cheers

If you like staticity, tough toughness and armor, or the thrill of slowly moving toward your opponent step by step, take Dwarfs. They also have awesome fluff (grudges and vengance).

Whatever style of fighting / type of storyline you want, there's bound to be an army in fantasy for you.

Can't argue with that.

Unless you want somthing that has nothing but....robots and tanks. Then empire has the tanks part but other than that can't help you.

Through the sands of time the legions call... *sinister whisper* khemri.... kheeemmmrrriii

*cough* *splutter* *cough*

*clears throat* Sorry. Damn Pharaoh's Spirit took over again... Seriously though, There is bound to be one army to suit you. From getting close and personal to sneaky and distant, each of the armies has something to offer... I like the sheer challenge of Tomb Kings though. To have absolutely no 'throw away' units in an army that requires decent co-ordination, I'm forced to be a better general or get smooshed. But then, I love a challenge...

I like playing chaos as there is always bound to be variation on the battlefield and in the lists. I can take either a huge horde of marauders or few knights of warriors and try to figure out how to manage a tiny but strong force or where to clog the enemy with warhounds, let alone the marks of chaos which add huge amounts of variation to it.

Perhaps it would be better if you told us what you are looking for and we can help you choose the correct army.
