Here are the proposed rules for the Bloodbowl Tourney.

• Games shall be played in accordance with the Boxed Set rules. There are some minor differences between the Box Set rulebook and the Online Rulebook, but not too many.
• Teams may be selected from the Online Rulebook, available online for free from the GW site.
• Teams are asked not to Throw Teammates.
• Teams are asked to actually try to score.
• In the event of a dispute about rules, a third party shall referee.
• Bribing the Ref is not only allowed, it is outright encouraged.

Now, a few rules specifically about gaming. These will differ from the Boxed Set Rulebook, but I feel these are the best rules to apply.

ILLEGAL PROCEEDURE:

• ANYONE may call Illegal Proceedure. It's just funnier (for everyone but you) that way. :P
• If Illegal Proceedure is called, you may perform one of three actions to resolve it:
  A) End your turn after completing that model's actions.
  B) Forfiet a re-roll.
  C) Bribe the other player with drinks, chocolate biscuits, sexual favours or whatever you think will convince them to look the other way!

BUGMANS RE-ROLL:
The Bugmans Re-roll is a special bonus granted to any player who won a game of Bugmans prior to their match. Everyone knows nobody chants louder than a drunken football fan except for a drunken Dwarven football fan, and by winning at Bugmans your team is guaranteed to be tanked up like nobody's business!

Anyone who objects to this rule will be asked to go and untangle their knickers before returning to play.

An obvious exception to rule #1, being that if a model from the online rulebook has a rule which did not appear in the Boxed Set Rules, then you will obviously use the rule as stated in the current Online Rulebook.

So does this mean my team will have to be the bogstandard list team, and not my uber-war-dancer god worth quarter of a million on his own? :P

Yes - the teams have to be made from the basic lists. This is as much because I suspect quite a few people won't have played before, and we'll be bullying them into playing with the box set teams. :P

If I download the GW PDF, could I proxy my dwarfs into a Bloodbowl game?

I also recently came into the possession of a couple of Bloodbowl templates (The have footballs on them and came in a box of warhammer), so I will have at least rudimentary understanding.

I don't see any problem with proxying-up a team to play with. Just be sure to be certain to make sure your opponent is clear as to what everything is prior to the game.

I hope so, as all my linesman are dryads, my treeman is a treekin and my wardancer is a, um, well, a wardancer.

I myself will probably be using Dark eldar models to represent my Dark Elf team (unless Wargy or Mkoll fancy ordering me a set ). So, unless people have Orc or Human teams we may be a bit short on models. Preper your proxies folks!
