Would probs be cheaper to fly 2 brum and get the train from there...
alternatively for those prices buy a network railcard (same discount as student and lasts a year) and it will still be cheaper... or look on virgin trains.

with regard to bringing my girlfriend along...
she will be heavily pregnant by then... our baby is due oct 1st, so I doubt she will be up for traveling anywhere. Also, she has been there before and finds it boring. She supports be doing the hobby and lets me spend as much time as I want on it pretty much, so she is gold in that respect, but it's not her cup of tea at all sadly. Though she did express some interest in trying to paint one of my models sometime... and she helps out with my knife work as I am heavily epileptic.
I will see what happens. She has given me the go ahead to goto the Painted Dragon WHW meet in Nov though, don't know if any of you are headed to that one?
Shame if I miss this though, would be good fun, maybe I could make the Sunday... we shall see.

1) Glasgow -Manchester on Friday, 8am-2pm or 11am-4pm, cheapish booked in advance, about 7-15 I think
2) Either go to Nottingham and stay in hotel there or stay in Manchester until morning (best because...)
3) Manchester-Nottingham same day return train about 20-30 or so AFAIK, maybe a little higher. Arriving for about 10.
4) Taxi from Nottingham Station to Warhamster World
5) Reverse, tab on another 5-20 for the return from manchester to Glasgow

Max 70 there and back for decent times instead of arriving late.
you worked that all out for me? thank you. for the momment 1st of august i fine for me, my problem would be i'll have exam resits in ausgust and lectures start in september. though i should be able to make it for end of july early august.

This could be a possibility for me, depending on my work schedule and if I've been deployed yet.

No passport in my case.

And for myself. Glasgow's my nearest city.

Me and Jonagon have looked into things down at WW and there is no entrance fee (not that I thought there was, but you never know, they may of charged a lease for the table or whatever).

We're looking to book 6 tables (which is the maximum they allow on an Open Gaming) on the 1st and maybe the 2nd.

If the numbers rapidly increase before the event, we could run 1k doubles matches on those 6 tables if necessary so that nobody is left out etc.

If any of you guys are looking to get out there on the Friday and looking to stay until Sunday, drop me a PM and if we can get a good deal on a cheap B&B for a group booking, then we should be able to have a good weekend gaming in ;D

Am waiting to find out which day/days they have the tables available, since this may well dictate when we go.

I'd hope there'd be multiple, FT.

I also reckon big games (using the Apoc rules or not) would be more fun than a tourny. Especially because we can plan well in advance the fluff, the armies, teams etc.

Crikey! This crazy clown causes commotion like the coming of Christ. Contained in a circle corrupted by crackheads and carnal cravings, he creates no concession to callous cheaters concentrating on nought but cock. Certainly, still a curious and cordial cavalier in the countenance of crazed cads, curs and creeps who condemn courtesy as something corny. No cloud could collapse his crushing crescendo of comical crowing and crimson coiffure. This conjecture on culture comes circumlocutive, consequently...

You may call me Circus.
