I applaud your efforts in organising this even but I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with the others here Zack - 20 for a T-shirt is waaay too steep. I simply can't afford it.

I may have to cancel this then. The less people who want one the higher the cost they'll be.

I'll give A4Apparel a call later.

Have people considered making their own from a blank t-shirt and iron-on heat transfer paper? You can print your own design onto the paper from your printer (assuming you purchase the right type of paper for the right type of printer you own) and just transfer it onto the t-shirt.

I did this when I competed in the 2001 National Student Roleplaying and Wargaming Championships. I gave myself writing over my left breast, a big picture with writing on my back, and a smaller picture on my left sleeve. Iron-on transfer paper is very versatile.

Zack could work on a standard template and we could iron on our own indeed

A standar temp would be easier, as I could use the site I found when I started. Unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to have the Tau Logo Mt inspired for me on the shoulder It'd more likely be on the back/front depending on preference (I'll update and redo the poll if thats the case)

As I mentioned before, the transfer paper is very versatile. You could print out a small design, say only a quarter of a side of A4 paper, cut that portion off of the main sheet with scissors, and affix it to the appropriate area as normal using an iron.

If people want to iron-on a transfer to their t-shirt's shoulder, they can. If people want to iron-on a transfer to their t-shirt's stomach, they can. If people want to iron-on a transfer to the inside of their t-shirt's right sleeve, they can (though I couldn't think why).

I see no reason why you couldn't include a template for the back, a template for the breast, and the Sept Symbol and email them to all the individuals involved, and let them all decide what exactly to fill in, which designs to print off themselves, and where to affix them to their t-shirt.

Wouldn't it have to be an A3 sizedtemplate for a T-shirt?

So all I'd have to do is buy some T-shirts that are suitable for this method.

Quite possibly. At the time I did mine I only had access to A4 transfer paper and an A4 printer. IIRC I actually had to use two sheets to fully make up the back design so I believe you could be right. The site I linked to above sells both A4 and A3 transfer paper but I'm not sure everyone would have access to an A3 printer (I know that I certainly don't).

As for the t-shirt, just go down to your local supermarket, market stall, Matalan or anywhere else you can buy clothes and pick up a cheap t-shirt for a few Pounds.

I would also like to remind anyone planning on doing this to read the product description carefully. There are two types of paper available (one for inkjet printers and one for laser printers) and if you buy the wrong one for your printer type then not only will you not be able to use it but you will likely not be able to get your money back.
