How did the last meetup really go? did you all get on ok? what did you all actually get up to?.

I would be tempted for one next year if we could get a few Fantasy games going.

This Augusts Meetup went brilliantly IMO.

Fantasy games would be great, as I was planning to bring one of my Fantasy armies next time.

This sounds great as I could not come along this year due to things.

It went swimmingly ;D. Everyone that turned up had a good time and it was certainly entertaining to meet Wargamer in the flesh ;D

Yes, Wargammer isn't as creepy in real life as he makes out here on the forum. :shifty:

Right then, it seems you're allowed a max six tables booked a group, any more than that is a small event but can be done. So, methinks if we want Fantasy and Bloodbowl, someone could try and drop Warhamster World a line about the possibility of booking more than 6 tables sometime in 2010. However, for that, we'd obviously need an established date for it to occur as well as an idea of numbers so that many tables is worthwhile.

Something to look into maybe, since we might have enough people at a 2010 meet wanting Fantasy (if I get my finger out I might even try to start Fantasy by then!) gaming or bloodbowl in addition to 12 or so wanting 40k.

I think for an official meetup, we might need someone sort of in charge of organising. Their phone number known to everyone, keeping a list of attendees sorted, all the vital info to hand, etc.

Well we had 6 tables last time and at any one time, we were only actively using 3 (the rest seemed to be "storage").

Jonagon was the guy who, I think , tried to organise the last one. But he didn't even turn up :P We wasted a fair half-hour just trying to find our tables on Saturday.

Well next year we'll be sure to reserve it with a more recognisable name like Tyross or Tau Online etc

We used few tables because we decided on larger games I think. It really all depends on people attending. Got a lot of people, might need to have more than one big game or a lot of smaller games.
