Default Tervigon and line of sight.

I had this ideal to model some termagaunts to the base of the termagaunt model. I did the same with my carnifex with a few riper swarms. It looks cool but I was wondering if it would be cool if I used the termagaunts to patch up holes like between the legs and such so the model can actually block line of sight for models behind it.

I think this falls under the same thing as impressive wings as it looks cool but should not block line of sight. However, it is not good sportsmanship. I would hate that and think it is a little powergamery. I would just ignore them for line of sight purposes. Some people would hate this. If something is just there to look cool it should not be used to gain an advantage.

Units never block LOS for other units, just provide cover saves.

It is if you cannot see the unit at all however you cannot fire at it from true line of sight.

I think the model would look excellent, but personally I wouldn't let you count them for line of sight.

Cool ok. I thought it wouldn't. I'll only do it if I get into old arguments like I can see the huge wing so I can shoot it argument.

Sure. If you let me use my "Ork carrying a wall" model.

In all seriousness, you should never, ever convert a model for in-game benefit. With the Tervigon you have a little more leeway since GW doesn't produce a model for it, but in general a cover save is the most you should expect from Monstrous Creatures blocking units behind them.

So how big would the wall have to be lol. Anyway it's more for effect than in game. I have tons of termagaunts thanx to the new codex. I have arguments about people shooting at my winged hive tyrant cause his wings stand out. So the only time I'll use it for ingame is when people cry that they should shoot at my winged tyrant cause they see the wings.
