Default Instinctive Behaviour

I read in somewhere that both lictors and carnifex's had to take IB tests before they moved. Is this true? It just seems silly that something the size of a carnifex can't move on its own, or something that is supposedly a stealth unit and therefore operates far from any other unit like a lictor.

Carnifex do not need to test because they are fearless, Lictors are not fearless so they need to take the test.

Cykosis is correct, the Tyranid 5th Edition FAQ states that:
Quote:
"Page 28 Instinctive Behaviour, second paragraph. The first sentence should be changed as follows:
If all models in a Tyranid brood begin their Movement phase more than 12 away from a Synapse Creature, and that unit is not Fearless, falling back or already in combat, it will revert to Instinctive Behaviour."

Both the Carnifex and Lictors are fearless, so neither of them have to take the test.

Thanks Guys, just bought three lictors (cause i love the model) and freaked out when i saw they may have to take IB tests, it would ruin everything.
