Default The "Lost" Hive Fleets

I, being an avid reader, was going through the less read sections of the Tyranid codex and now have a few questions. Has anyone ever seen or heard or read anything about Taimet, Collossus, or Ouroboris? The fluff is cool, I just wanted your thoughts.

Oh, and apparently, the Hive Fleet is cappable of resesting Nurgles Rot, and accidentaly carries it around if they get infected. T8 Carnifex anyone? Plus, the Tusked bio-morph section states that the tusks are creamate laced. If we used this in, say hormagaunts scytals, then we could have rending hormagaunts! Or just tougher, better save ones.

I show adamantium-laced. (pg 33)

And as with the missing Tyranids... have you ever stopped to consider that Tyranids may just be like the Necrons? They move on until things grow and then something causes the catalyst to come back. The Lost Fleets are interesting as various species have been listed as possible Tyranid evolutions. Has anyone considered perhaps the Mega-arachnids of the Horus Heresy could be Tyranids? They have bladed arms, a caste system, and flyers (gargoyles?).

Finally, I can't find anything in the manual about Nurgle let alone rot. Where did you come by this info?

The Nurgle's rot was in the Deamon Hunters Codex under why they would fight the nids.

I think he's referring to one of the Tyranid splinters on a space hulk that Ragnar ran into in one of the Space Wolf books. They were described as being infected with something that looked suspiciously Nurgly.

Ouraboris I believe was the one lost in the warp, so chaotic tendancies would be present. There would also be no Warriors and stuff with Synapse rules because I assume that the Warp would block out the Hive Mind, I think that was also what was said during Medusa?

Ouroboris??

wasn't that the virus that played part in the game ' Resident Evil 5 ' the newest one.

If it is, then wtf are tyranids now :P

Ouroboris took over the humen body and killed all its normal bodly fluids etc. and put a virus injection into em, making them mutate into something else.. so really ouroboris was made wrong in Resident evil 5 im guessing..

but still Tyranids remind me of the things outta dead space

Sigh...

Ouroboros - aka the snake eating its own tail.

Just because two things share the same name does not mean that they are the same thing.
