The fleshborer only goes on gaunts and nothing else, right? Does anyone know if there is a reason for this fluffwise or something?

It does? I thought other genuses of creature could take it too. Atleast they could in previous editions *scampers to find dex*
EDIT: Aye warriors get it too, at a glance i have seen. |

They are also standard issue for Gargoyles.
Warriors can take them too, but I have never heard of anyone taking "advantage" of this option. Fluffwise, I would venture to guess that this is a basic weapon/symbiote that does not go higher than the Warrior strains. |

it's because fleshborers aren't that good on anything else than a gaunt/gargoyle.

But why is that? Because Warriors have other options?
All 'Nid guns work off the S and A of the creature wielding them... so surely each one *should* be a suitable biomorph for anything? Why the hell is biomorph not coming up as a misspelling?!

Yes, but I don't use it. I have the same spellcheck that runs on Word etc that underlines mispelled words - it applies on all fora I frequent regardless of whether I have a spellcheck feature.
And biomorph does not get underlined in red. How bizarre.

The only time I tried fleshborers on warriors was an experimental build for dropping skimmers in 4th: Winged, rending warriors with bioplasma. The idea was to chase them down, shoot and assault, lots of reliable S6 hits with added rending in CC. I decided it was too specialized and not worth it.
