Tyranid wings, revisited
As I thought, the idea of insect wings for Tyranids has been thought of. This is a picture of wings made of cellophane packaging I believe, attached to a gaunt to make a gargoyle.

They are ok, but I do feel that Tyranids aren't all that insect like. They strike me as an insect/dinosaur/crustacean combo.
