Default Synapse and Rallying Question

Ok, so the Codex reads:

"A Tyranid brood that enters Synapse range may rally regardless of the usual restrictions (enemy models within 6", etc)"

Now, cross referencing that with the rule book... regrouping happens at the start of the move phase normally. Regrouping can happen earlier in certain special circumstances however.

So here's the question: Does the "regardless of the usual restrictions" just refer to that bullet point list, or does it mean, that a Tyranid that is falling back immediately regroups upon entering Synapse?

I would interpret it as meaning that they rally at the normal point in the game but can do so in any situation.

Yeah, that's what I'm beginning to think. I've been playing that different up until now - granted it's not happened very often that I was actually out of Synapse, but it's happened a couple times when I over extended myself, and I think although the wording is unclear, the intent is probably for having it happen at the normal point but as you will happen in any situation.

It's similar in a way to Space Marines, who automatically rally, but do so at the beginning of their subsequent turn. As it doesn't say anything about when it is done we have always played it this way.

I've alwaysassumed it to occur at the normal point in your turn, at the beginning of your Move phase, but ignoring any restrictions as you pointed out. There really isn't any clear wording on it, but I don't think I've seen a special rule that allows units to regroup outside of the start of the Move phase, and I'd imagine it would be more specified if this were the case.
