I'm stuck ???

I've been playing Tyranid for about a year. But because of financial issues i've had to stop and even when i did i couldn't buy much. Every time i've gone to a Games Workshop i've had to borrow models and i'm sick of it.

I've got a box of Gaunts, 1 blister of Gargoyles, a biovore and the 'nids from Battle of Macragge

Well now i've got a bit of money (about $100, birthday) and want to buy some Tyranid.

WHAT DO I BUY???

A hive tyrant or Carnifex might be good but then I haven't been playing long so I might be wrong.

Sounds like you don't have any HQ, so a tyrant maybe, or warriors.

The Battleforce! That is honestly all you need, and solves all your current problems.

ive got to aggree on the battleforce:

3 warriors

8 hormagaunts (close combat)

8 gaunts (shooty-ish)

8 genestealers

carnifex


that is actually a legal 600-750pts army right out of the box (i think its the best battleforce GW produce)

if you can afford it id suggest getting a hive tyrant (£25 here in the UK) as he is a beast that is rightfully feared

Third on battleforce and then a tyrant also. I have killed an entire squad the one time I have used a tyrant. also to get a battleforce you will get the most for your money.

thanks for that guys. I went out today to a games workshop and got the battleforce and am currently working on the warriors.
But what should i make my 'Fex? Shooting or Ranged???? ???

How are the Gaunts from your box of Gaunts equipped? I can come up with some lists for ya if I know.

The gaunt i've got are the macragge gaunts (fleshborers)
The gaunts box has 1 spinegaunt (brother built) 2 fleshborers (before i changed) and 5 (devourers)
