There is a site-wide effort by the staff to eliminate the level of spam and poor posting by members. This is a result of members treating the forum as a whole like the enclave. This is unacceptable and there will be no leniency for poor posting habits. New members that may not be very familiar with the forum rules will be given one warning and established members should know better and as such will not be warned and simply receive a smite. This isn't something that I or any of the staff enjoys doing but unfortunately the actions of a few are forcing us to be so stern in enforcing the forum rules. The end result will hopefully be that we have a better and more productive site. If you see any unnecessary posts or spam post please use the report post feature and let us know.

I'm glad to see there's finally been some initiative taken, I just hope it doesn't go utterly overboard (a single thread necromancy on StarDestroyer.net is enough to get the newbie flamed into oblivion and marked with the custom title of "village idiot").

Although seriously, some of this does apply to some parts of the forums and less to others, as Gada said above, this board is pretty clean running, so I think I might have to give Gada another board to mod since he has an easy life here... :shifty:

OK this is pissing me off... i have bad grammar and it not I'm to lazy to do it its the fact that i suck at grammar and this angers me to no end that you are going to 'smite' those with bad grammar. I don't post spam, and never post spam. If you want to fix my grammar go ahead. I don't mind smiting people for them saying things like "b/c u r all fags" that is grammar that was caused from the act of laziness.

There's my take on this. Please don't be offended, I'm just being honest.

This whole forum format is based around the concept of exchanging ideas and experiences. We either say what we've learned and hope it makes others better or ask questions to better out understanding of our army. Weather or not someone believes you is their choice. Believing someone is key to this process.

So how do you make people believe you? Well, you either have to come across as smart or experienced. The sad fact of the matter is that if you cannot use decent grammar there is no way you can come off as smart.

I'm serious. You could post how to turn lead into gold, but if there are no capitol letter or periods then I will just blow off what you say because you seem dumb.

I'm sorry if this offends people, but it's the way I feel.
