Default Hormaguants: How to keep them standing?

After building a few hormaguants I noticed that they are very easy to knock over. Does anyone know a way to make them more balanced? I tried gluing a penny to the bottom of the base but it didn't stick very well.

Any small, heavy objects like little bits of metal would work fine.

All of my Hormies are perfectly balanced save one, and I glued a bit of metal sprue leftover from a metal figure to the bottom of his base, the side opposite of his 'tippage' (I copywright that word!) to balance him out.

You could put a small coin on the bottom of the base. I put pennies under all my gaunts that don't stand on their own.

You can actually buy washers that work PERFECTLY, they can fit exactly under the base or a little bigger - thats how I keep mine standing (genestealers too). I recommend going to a hardware store with one of your bases just to make sure you get the right size. They're heavy enough to keep your models standing up without making the base stand awkwardly.

What Whitestar said - also if you have a hacksaw and a lot of patience, you can cut them so that it fits perfectly under the base without having to bother with the slit in the way - it sticks a LOT better that way.

try using blue-tac AND superglue to stick coins to them.

works great for me (though i tend to just move my gaunts with a broom pretty much so its pointless )

I like lead shot. Lead weighs more than copper and you can fit more of it in the base.

If that doesn't work you could try to glue something on top of the base like a rock. Any weight you can add to the base will help.

And if all else fails you could try gluing him on a bigger base. I'd like to see your hormagaunts tip over on a 40mm base.

I second the pennies and hacksaw. It takes some time, but the results are well worth it. I can no longer tip over Gaunts in normal conditions, as they always right themselves (unless I give them an angle greater than 45 degrees...)

I recently tried to restore my brothers old Tyranids and one of the things I had to fix were his Hormagaunts. I used a small coin glued to the bottom (as everyone else did is seems) for the ones that were not standing. And if the coin was not enough, I added a small Lego brick in order to put a little more weight on it. The bricks gave it the exact amount of weight to balance it out.

What is lead shot?
I used some really little steal washers bent in half. It works pretty well, but it takes a while and they don't always bend right.
