The definition of a "Good List" depends on the player. Unless you give more advice, we can't help.

We need info.
Who do you play the most?
Do you prefer shooting or close combat?
Lots of small bugs or a few big bugs?

Anything else?

Also, try reading the Know Your Enemy - Be Not The Prey, and the Know Yourself - Be The Predator topics.

Especially so if you're a n00b, these topics are a goldmine of information, and answered many of the questions I myself had as a n00b. Except back then we didn't have that many members...or those topics....

...curse it.

Lots of anti-Tau bugs and good tactics for running them into the dirt. Anyone have good Anti-Tau tactics?<I like some big And small bugs to get them

Close combat is liked

With Tau, you can't let their mobility get the better of you. At the very least, get some Hormagaunts. These bugs will tear across and through the terrain, denying them this advantage. To even better capitalise upon this, use Winged Warriors, a Winged Hive Tyrant, or Raveners. Due to this, things like Tyrant Guard (unless you're using them for guarding a foot-slogging Hive Tyrant or Carnifex), as well as Genestealers, are not that good.

Don't engage them in a firefight. As good as a Zoanthropes are, they really are not that good vs. Tau! I wouldn't recommend them.

Biovores and Poison Mines. AP 4, wound on a 4+. Perfect for taking out Tau Fire Warriors.

Canifexes. Two. Plus a Hive Tyrant, as well as Tyrant Guard. This combo is quite hard for Tau to take down. There's just too many wounds. Use a brood of Tyrant Guard on your 'fexes. Remember they don't take up a HQ slot if you take them as bodyguard for the Hive Tyrant. And you can take them separately, using them for guarding your fexes.
Finally, Monstrous Creatures can attach and detach themselves from broods at will. This means you can take the Tyrant Guard as Hive Tyrant bodygaurd, detach them, and use them to guard your Carnifexes instead. This trick is especially useful if you have a Hive Tyrant with wings.

Have fun, hope I helped.

If you're into 40K it's only because money doesn't matter to you.
