sorry if this have been discussed, but i havnt seen any topic like this before.
ever since i got to know the red terror.i did thought, doesn't this remind me of how the Trygon is told to look like? a big Ravener. even though i now know a true Trygon is far bigger. but, i somehow think the Red Terror was meant to Resemble a trygon, to be able to use a giant Ravener to support the fast swarms. i might be wrong, but i think its quite obvious. maybe Red Terror might represent a stage between the two,or simply another type. thoughts?

Well,
The Red terror is not a trygon, but a ravener. To be exact, it is more like an offshot mutation of the ravener species.

Red Terror is a more evolved Ravener, while a Trygon is the Tyrant of clean up armies (It's essentially a gigantic Ripper)

Raveners are actually warriors that have evolved faster land movement (Standard/ravener/winged) and can also handle an extra weapon since they don't have to pay attention to their legs.
Rippers are the small ones led by trygons with some carnifex support to clean up all the biomass off a planet. Rippers go around and eat everything, get brought back up to the ship and (liquified?) back into biomass until everything is stripped and they move on :P Carnifexes for support and trygons for speedy synapse control (Tyrants are extremely difficult to make. Trygons are a LOT easier and provide a lot more control) Although rippers generally move about on their own, it's nice to be able to put in some commands from the ship if they get stuck in combat.

Raveners evolved from warriors, so saying a trygon evolves from a ravener still means it evolves from a warrior.
Just realized I was thinking about a malanthrope... Soz. Trygon did come from ravs, which came from warriors. They're all in the relative same line, just Trygons are massive and they use them to front assaults. Red Terrors are used for solo work.

yeh,i know they come from warriors. i was just, confused about you saying they where synapse rippers lol. so i wasnt wrong then. Malanthropes are the big rippers.yet, they have likeness with Zoanthropes, since they're synapse probably
