3 Questions:
What is your opinion on scythe tails vs. mace tails? Is regenerate worth it on a large scale (IE CC orientented TMC list) If you use flesh hooks and wings togther, do you ignore all terain completely, as flesh hooks treats impassable as difficult, and wings treat difficult as normal...

#2 Depends if your creature is gonna have every weapon available shooting at it. If it is main priority for you enemy then I think yes. #3 not sure you should probably contact GW to find out for sure

a) I prefer the Mace Tail, as it doesn't require buying Toxin Sacs to maintain effectiveness VS MEQs, plus it's cheaper, considering it's a biomorph which requires many conditions to work properly, so it doesn't equate into as much pts being wasted if not used.
b) Hell, I don't know. It depends upon your capacity to roll multiple 6s and it does work better if paired with Reinforced Chitin, which gives one more wound to work with/allow to regenerate. However, IMO, it's more of a fluffy gimmick than anything else, as it alone far than garantees victory, especially for its high cost. c) These don't combo at all___FHs only treat vertically impassable terrain as difficult (it does nothing for chasms, water features, ...), while Wings do ignore any terrain/vehicle/figs they fly over, should they land within difficult terrain it becomes dangerous (throw d6__1s=autowound without any save of any sort). |

1) As to whether I prefer mace or scythe, it really depends on which army I'm fighting against. Marines and other 'high' toughness low model count I would prefer mace for the easier wound. Scythe tail rocks for fighting lower toughness higher model count armies (think IG). In the end I would likely taking Mace tail for the lower point cost.
2) Regenerate is sometimes worth it, sometimes not. If the creature costs a lot of points without regenerate, it might be worth spending the extra 30 points just to keep it alive a little bit longer. But you could get unlucky and lose all 4-5 wounds in 1 turn (I did this, it isn't fun) in which case those 30 points are wasted. 3) Only reason to use flesh hooks with wings is for the 'frag grenade' ability. If you aren't interested in that, then don't bother with them.
