Default Melta damage

If you had a tank for an army you don't want to use anymore but still wanna use the tank as a bunker like obstacle have i got an idea for you!

If you have a Dremel tool, or any tool for that matter with a "blade" fitting made of stiff sand paper that can be used to cut things (ie plastic) then to make a convincing melta blast or "cut" mark then use the tool on one of the tank sides.

This will cause a melting effect due to the sandpapers friction and you'll end up with melta damage. I used this on a rhino and it looks really sweet!

A good way to do this with terrain is to put polycement (the plastic-to-plastic glue) onto polystyrene. The stuff melts through it like a hot knife through butter.

Another cheaper way is to make a ceramic mold, then you can litter a battlefield with those bunkers. If you think it sounds too hard its really kinda simple the only problem is you gotta use one that is unpainted.... Then using that drummel you just go to town using all sort of different effects.... I found that hollowing one out makes it easier to do.

Me and a friend wanted to make an imperial tower (on the corner of a ruined fortification) that was made of plastic bulkheads look battle damaged and burnt out so we filled it full of paper (loosely, we didn't cram it in!) and taped matches to parts of the 'wall'. We lit the paper (scattering burning ash liberally throughout his living room ;D) and the matches left behing little scorch marks. The paper burnt for long enough to start to melt the bulk heads so we poked a pencil through the side and top of the tower! In the end it looked charred, with bits of burnt on ash stuck to it (lol), with 2 holes that made it look like a lascannon had just gone through it (upwards and diagonally). The larger hole in the top of the tower melted and drooped making it look like an incendary bomb had landed on it! The cool thing was that the 2nd floor(beneath it) looked pretty much undamaged so it still looked like a tower, not a mass of molten plastic. Also, we did this mid-game as a plasma cannon had just killed the SM scouts I had sniping from the top floor of the tower! It was all v.fun. ;D

For making swords, big swords or small, find an appropriate sized nail, heat is up till its red hot, and hammer it. Looks really good.
