Default Tau world... how to base my models?

Hey!

My Chaplain should be finished by the end of the month if evrything is going fine! But I need to base him. A quick fluff review to hel you here: A Tau Cadre has been send to colonize a planet in the name of the Greater Good. But what they didn't know is that the planet was under the surveillance of the Ordo Xenos. A dangerous xenos artefact was hidden somewhere and the Tau must not find it for the safety of the Imperium... espacially because some Dark Forces are trying to locate it and use it against the Imperium. So, a Salamanders/IG/OX-Deathwatch alliance has been sent to negociate with the Tau to tell them to stay away of the planet (will use lies of course!). Tau refuse and there you have war that starts! It'll take time for the OX to really locate the planet on which the artefact is and then to start the war. Tau will have built a nice city (I'm a cityfight fan! ). now, there will be trees because Tau will have built iton a jungle planet, recpecting the old trees... but I need some sort of pavement for the city "floor". Any idea on how it could look??? That will be my bases for my armies. I'm thinking of some pavement with some areas with roots that Tau didn't cut. Sael concept for Tau building will be use for sure!

Any ideas folks? Thanks!

Tau like unimpressive, fairly blending architectural materials. A form of plastic-ceramic plate in a whitish-blue-grey tone is my image of a Tau sidewalk, hope that helps.

What he said, but I think the Tau would alway remove the roots one way or another. Maybe you could use a street tree or somthing simmilar.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, I saw that link. And there's a winter table with some Tau terrain too somewhere on the GW US website but you don't see streets or sidewalk on that last one... Hmm... I will need to think of something to make sure the bases won't look empty or plain... I'm going back to "think" mode!

Cheers!
