Default Cardstock Imperial Bunker

Working on a new cardstock terrain piece. This is the original sketch I envisioned for this project:

Started the beginnings of the prototyping today and have most of the front done.

Just a little more progress here. Completed both of the pillboxes and the connecting hallway, as well as the tower.

Question, though: Right now the tower is only about 4 inches high, but I see some other people make their towers 6" high. Is there an advantage to doing this, and should I increase the height of the tower?

Well, it would be easy enough to have that neck piece with different lengths.

Haha, actually, that is my work mousepad! At home I just use a graphics tablet.

I guess one of the reasons people use different heights for their towers and building levels is the standard GW made for terrain levels. I believe the standard is 6" and is mentioned in the cities of death codex. I may be wrong though as I have only thumbed through the codex a few times.

Hmmm... interesting. I remember reading in the main rulebook that models can move the same distance vertically as they can horizontally... so I guess 6" would be the maximum distance between levels.

Ok, I adjusted the height of the platform so it is now 6" off the ground. I also added a landspeeder landing platform on top of the rear pillbox and some window greeblies around the pillboxes themselves.

Now all I need to do is paint it!

This is looking fantastic, if you can ever spare the time I would love you to teach me how to do this stuff (if that's even possible over the net). :P
What are you using, plasticard?
+1 karma for sharing.
