Default New plastic woods.

Is anyone else excited about the new plastic woods GW is releasing?

The ability to bring your own easily transportable woods to the battlefield will finally convince me to paint the squad of Kroot I got with the original Tau army box.

I'd love to see what the look like but alas I find WD to not be worth the money so I'll wait till they post it on their site to see them I guess.

Sounds cool. Is there anything else you could tell us about them.

somewhat ghostly looking trees, the leaves are flat areas (i guess so you can use them as forrest floors) and they seem to be maple leave/american oak-ish leaves. that concludes the looks, i don't know anything else since i base this from WD329 pictures.

The best place to get forest is your local DIY store. For $1 you can buy enough green felt to make ~12 pieces of varying size forest terrain. Using felt has a couple of advantages:

1) way cheaper

2) no actual tree models to get models stuck in

3) incredibly easy to transport

I'm a painter/modeler first, player second. So $40 bucks Australian is worth it for me.

I'm already getting ideas about stringing up fresh kills (Probably a couple of space marine scouts) predator style from the tree branches, that and a couple of observation posts.

Just in case no one's seen them, found it on the UK store...

The US store also has glade grass and scorched grass on advanced order.
