Default Lakes of Gas?

For my mini campaign that I'm doing with my friends and its set on a planet with lakes of sulpher gas that stay in the craters of the planet. Fluff aside... How could I make that on a table? I'd make the crater but what would I do for the gas?

Well you could get a fog machine and use that possibly, although cotton wool that was dipped in yellow ink and left to try would just about do as good IMHO.

If it is pooling, it probably isn't going to be mixing very well with the atmosphere. You could try a batch of water effects epoxy and then drop plumes of watered down white and yellow into it. That might be an interesting effect. I can't think of anything to replicate the wispy appearance of fog, though.

If you can find any, a couple of tiny chunks of dry ice in each crater.
Over the course of the battle it will sublime from solid to gas while in the crater, then drift away.

Or the aforementioned cotton wool + ink could also work.

Try using Watered down white glue or water effects in layers mixing in inks. You want it to be semi-translucent. Also, please post the results.

stick down cotton wool then spray it with paint. if you dip it, it will clog together, if you spray it it won't.
