Default City Update (So many pics!)

Been a long while since I posted, but I've been keeping myself busy. Here's a taste of my city-table. Highway is still in progress or reprogress...my moving from one place to another destroyed the test piece you guys saw...reconstruction to happen after my city.

Enough of that! Here's my first completed building:

I'll be posting more. I need to have the full table done by Christmas for our annual 40K Holiday battles...so more buildings to be posted soon.

That looks great , very realistic weathering and a nice change in colour from the usual grey , look forward to seeing more of your buildings , looks nice and stable aswell.

Nice work

awsome ruin! I wish mine looked that good. I like how the steath suits are, they will rain down the fury of the greater good on those who oppose it. :funny:

Thanks guys! I just realized that I posted a picture of my most recently constructed building first, so it has a lot more detail (like the girders and wooden floors) than the buildings I finished painting this week.

So the next few buildings won't be as detailed. I'll be posting them up soon. 4 buildings done with at least 3 more coming and lots of rubble/ruins to follow. Building terrain is a blast!

New (hopefully better) Pics of my City terrain:

My first attempt at a LARGE building. I like the way the colors came out...makes me wish I had added more detail when I made it.

Okay. Pictures are marginally better. Wanted to try a different color for the interior of the building. I think I like grey better...but with the blues exterior, the brown really stands out. Might try a lighter brown next time (with more gray mixed in maybe).

I still have a bit more detail to add to all my buildings (graffiti, posters, signs etc)..but these are pretty much ready to go. Comments? Suggestions for future buildings? I got 4 more planned: 1 large, 1 multi-piece large and maybe 2 mediums. Would love some thoughts! Also making barbed wire/tanktraps and obstacles (broken terrain) to toss around...I'll post those soon too.

I like teh contrast of teh brown/blue. It works well. Grafitti and posters would be nifty though.

Built out of cardboard?

On another note, man are those stealth suits Blue....

Stealth Suits: Yeah. I really need to get around to highlighting them. I got just far enough to feel okay about playing them...but they could use some lighter tones.

VERY BLUE!

I used foamcore to make them and the GW templates (with some fiddling to match them to the bases I cut from MDF). The detail bits, like the molding on the large building and the sidewalk, are made from cereal box cardboard.

Here's a pic pre paintjob:
