Default Assorted terrain (city, nid, and necron)

I first made the digestion pool and spires(the spires I modeled after snakegrass) because I field a nid army. Then I made all the city pieces for the cities of death expansion. Last but not least, I made the Obelisk and pyramid because my friend uses necrons. Please feel free to comment or ask questions.

All the buildings are made of foamcore with the outside peeled off. Where bits of the paper remained, I painted it to look like paint or wallpaper. the edges were made with a craft knife, and the paint was cheap acrylic brushed black first, then grey, then a lighter grey.

The spires and the spires around the pool are made from polymer clay, and the ridges on the pool spires were made with hot glue. They were then painted black, and the raised areas were painted green (black and green are my hive colors) the bubbles were also made of clay, and I added some partially digested bits. The whole things was painted dark red, and brushed with two or three coats of Mod Podge (didn't have water effects at the time).

The pyramid and obelisk were all made of foamcore, I copied the design on the obelisk from the internet, and drew the pyramid design myself. the green streaks on the pyramid are hot glue, and i made the cracks on the obelisk with a pencil.

I still have to base all of these, but I'm waiting until I can get a terrain board (and more peices).

Please tell me if anything should be changed, these are the first terrain peices I've made, and I'm still learning.

These pictures are kind of bad (they were taken at night) so I'll be posting some more...eventually.

Wow, looks awesome Bleekster!

I come in here from basing my Necron Warriors and see that you posted these.

As me and a certain Tau player said about the stuff you made before, really looks great and you are going to save all of us a ton of money on the uber expensive models from the sites and wait a long time for shipping to come over seas. All in all this terrain doesn't look cheap and I really look forward to finally starting our board and usin this stuff!

I think Necrons and Nids are going to look great stalking through these ruins cuttin down and chew-in up some definitely screwed Tau and IG.

Cya when I cya man.

Thanks for the compliments, but Leestar, sorry, but my models are currently at another place of residence, and I cant get pics on a board either (I'm working on one currently). However I added windows to some of the buildings, and re-bar to most of them. I also added a couple of floors to the big building, and put in wood panel floors.

I also built an Imperial bunker.

On a board(sort of):

looking good for a start.

i would try tamiya transparent blue over your water, it will add depth and blend your colors.

paint that ground, and drybrush it and so on, makes the scale of real rocks fit better, plus makes a more appealing board.

Water? I believe that that board has a street running throught the middle.....
I can see why it could look like water as it is dark and has a blue tint in the pic
Nice work Bleek, cant wait to come and play a few games on that stuff today.
