Default Battlefield snow

I was wondering, how do you make, or what do you use for realistic snow for gameboards? I've tried Baking Soda, but it gets on the models all the time, and it's a mess. Please help.

There was a spray on substance that was white and textured, but I can't remember what it was. I may get back to you.

Yeah, no reason you can't do the sand/textured paint thing, but do it white instead of brown or green...

Baking soda does work but you need really thin layer of glue and a lot of baking soda.
Salt?
Sugar?
Fine granulated sugar?

Any sort of powder coating is going to be fragile and is going to get all over the models. The best way is to carve a board out of layers of foam, but that's rather labor-intensive. If you really want a quality-looking and durable snow battlefield, however, you'll have to put the time in....bottom line, forget about using glued-down powders if you're actually going to play battles on it. It's fine for dioramas, but not for gaming use.

the spray snow goes away after a while, and some kinds of it are wet and soapy.

In that case, so is sex. Therefore, pornstars and prostitutes are professional athletes.
