Default Tau Spaceport (for real, 2" by 2")

Hi, I think this is the right forum. Anyway, at my club, a lot of our scenary is getting old and damaged and we do not have much 40K scenary. We were promised some free scenary bits from GW, which havn't arrived BUT I'm not going to get into a huge complaint. I want to make a Tau Spaceport. Simple. 2" by 2", I know what it is going to look like and what I'm going to use to make it. However, if anyone could help me with the following:

Where do I get that pink foam GW uses in White Dwarf?

Once built, how do I seal the pink foam so there will be no damage to it when I spray it.

Thanks in advance, and if this does look good when done I will put pictures of it on the BlackFish Games Club site.
Any other advice will be more than welcome, although I can't promise that I will send cake to any helpers.

That is ENTIRELY dependant upon where you live. The pink foam (and even better blue foam) is made by Dow, and is readily available in places that tend to have very cold climates. Here in southern California, it's nearly impossible to get a hold of. The FLGS I work at was able to get some through a contractor, but we had to buy an entire palate (which we now sell for $15 a sheet). You can't just walk into a Home Depot or a Lowe's and buy some, whereas in other regions of the country you can and it's dirt cheap. I have heard that the local battle bunker sells the pink foam, but I can't confirm this. As for availability in the UK, I have no idea.

2"x2"? 2 inches by 2 inches? I'd think the back of a cereal box would suffice. :

Now if you mean 2 feet by 2 feet (2'x2&#39 then I'd agree, use pink foam.

No wonder I've never seen that pink foam! Stupid Australian climate... I'd have to go to Tasmania to get some! Ive always used Styrofoam and sealed it with PVA glue or some kind of spray paint. Then again I just glued a mat of fake grass to my terrain, so dont take my word on the spraypaint yet :-\

in good auld EIRE,
only one company makes it and they wont sell it in quantities of less then 10,10x10 sheets which costs about E500 :-[
instead i use ceiling tiles and a special foam that i make myself ^-^
