Default pulse rifles

in the rule book it says that rapid fire may shoot once up to 24" or twice at 12".
my question is that since pulse rifles have 30" range does this mean they can shoot rwice at 15" or still shoot twice at 12"?

Rapid fire weapons always rapid fire at 12", regardless of the maximum weapon range - it could have a range of 300561" and it would still only rapid-fire at the 12" mark.

IIRC you can move and shoot 15" one shot.

Either 1 shot at 30" if you stay stationary or 2 at 12" if you move or stay stationary.

You can't chose to move and not Rapid Fire [I.E Shoot once], if we could we would have Marine Tac squads unloading 1 shot each from their Bolters before they charge.

Actually, Marines can do that... you can fire once with Rapid Fire and charge, or fire twice with Rapid Fire and not charge.

Nope.

Quote from BGB [with regards to Rapid Fire weapons]:

'Unit may not move in the Assault phase if the weapon was fired in the Shooting phase'

In reality they should be able to not Rapid Fire and still charge and it would make more sense. But they can't unfortunatley.

Uh... does that mean crisis suits can't jump if they rapid fire?!
