I think ur forgetting the fact that almost the entire 2nd company of the Avenging Sons died. Few Tau were killed except for about 6 XV8, 1 XV88, and around 8 HH/DF. And the thunderhawks only bought time for the SMurfs to escape. They just pushed back the Tau they could see. Dont forget that all but 1 of the Terminators the Avenging Sons brought with them died.

Once again. An entirely biased look on it for the Tau. Were you even reading the same book?.

Approx 80 Marines went onto the planet in all (Marines in Power Armour). It actually says this. It also says that the force was reduced to around 40 battle worthy brothers. So that Isn't 100 Marines. 100 Marines being the entire second company strength.

Few Tau were killed?!. The Marines engaged in a two day running battle with Fire-Warriors. Attacking in close combat and with grenades over and over. Believe me, quite a few Fire-Warriors would have been killed. It also mentions that they left with the streets littered with battlesuits and tanks.

A bombing attack run by Thunderhawks causes casualties. No matter how much you like the Tau. The Marines suffered horrendously from Tau bombing and ground attack runs from their air-craft. Did you actually read the destruction that the bombing run caused?

My combat results are as close to accurate as possible....with no bias.

Its impossible for humans to be unbiased. There is probably a little bit of bias in the casualties.

No, your just double posting and breaking forum rules.

I'm inclined to trust Veq's analysis - loss of two support units (Broadside and Hammerhead) and what would likely amount to the better part of a mecanized FW squadron as well as more than one Crisis team is not the best combat record in my book.

Well, is the IA book an unbiased source or is it imperial?

"Imperial" Armour is just the name of the Forge World wing of resin models and the books that include rules for them, whether or not they are actually weapons of the Imperium. While GW tends to have a slight Imperium bias, alot of the rules FW comes up with gives the impression that the designes have never played 40K, so it's anyones guess...

i think the tau did well for themselves. damn,m they gave a bloody nose to a battle company...

And nobody does that without getting bloodied and bruised back in return.

Veq, i await the next installment.

yes i await the next installment aswell.....and i agree...they did good to take it to a whole company of Sm's......but as always dont think that you wont get a sting if you disturb the hornets nest.......i would say that the following account is not biased and i believe that the casulty reports as close as we can get to the final estimate
