I'm just curious as to what aspect of game play causes you and your tactical approach to using Tau the most grief. It can be least favorite type of game or the one that you always loose to.

Mine is not on the list, but it is Drop Pod armies, I know how to beat them, and I frequently do, but they have a tendensy to cause me alot of grief.

As a normal, threatening tactic, fast moving melee troops are always a problem, so I voted for them.
Actually, though, what I really dislike are indirect fire weapons. To get them, you need to advance towards the enemy to get around whatever cover is hiding the weapon.....but Tau advancing into the enemy is always a risky proposition. |

I have lost games because one Space Marine Chaplain with a jump pack decided to rampage through my army. Oh sure, he was attached to an assault unit, and I would kill all of them, but he always manages to survive and jump from unit to unit leaving destruction in his wake.
So yeah, fast moving melee troops are the bane of a well balanced Tau army.

Eldar are fast and it drives me crazy especialy when you can only get glancing hits on there vehicles if they move more than 6 inches.

Necrons, I hate necrons. They just won't die! I feel like I'm in terminator 3, no matter how much I shoot the damn robot, it still keeps coming.

Any of the above, in the hands of a skilled opponent are frustrating tactical problems.

Anything speedy that can avoid shots and then jump into combat where Tau automatically loses games. 8) That's the biggest problem Tau have, because pulse rifles can take down power armor, enemy tanks don't stand a chance and monsters fall to railguns and missile pods.
However, ordnance is something tau doesn't have an easy answer to. I mean, have you tried deepstriking drones or single suits on a basilisk or whirlwind? You can try dropping Missile pod suits to get side or back armor, but you need to deal with line of sight, space to land and all that. Once you fire you seem to immediately get intercepted by something.
