NO!! Not for the same drone contoller. And u cant have a normal and HW drone contoller on the same model.

The codex states you may purchase gun drones and shield drones with a drone controller. I see no reason why one could not purchase one each.

Then you need to reread the codex entry:

Quote:
Drone controller plus from 1 to 2 <type> drones . . . . . . . .+<number> pts each drone
The options for gun and shild drones are different equipment entries: you cannot purchase different types of drones with the same controller, and you cannot have multiple controllers per model. And no, you cannot have a Drone Controller and a HW D-Con on the same model.

Ahhhh....

I was reading the hard wired wargear entry. I agree that hard point drones cannot intermingle. I see no conclusive problem with two different drones on hard wired drone controllers

Hardwired and normal drone controllers are the same peice of wargear, any experienced player will tell you that you cannot use hardwired controllers to control different drone types.

And Shield Drones cost 15 points, FYI...

I'm actually not sure about this one. I know Army Builder lets you mix them, but that doesn't really mean anything. The Codex doesn't explicitly say you can't, it just implies it with a single "or" that may be there more as a function of proper grammer than as a definite rule. I would guess that it is intended to be legal, although it really doesn't make much of a difference either way.

It never says you can't, simply 10 points for each gun drone and 15 points for each shield drone with a limit of 2 drones per controller.
