Hi,

I'm looking to get back into 40k but I haven't got a lot of 5th ed experience. My 4th ed Tau were purely static, utilising plenty of Pulse rifles and heavy support.

I'm looking for a more competitive force that works with the new rule book.

Any comments would be much appreciated.

I'm not actually looking to enter a tounrament but I do want to be able to take on my usual oponents of Blood angels and Chaos SM.

Actually it looks solid and is not far off the type of lists I often play myself. However I must point out that 1507 points is not a 1.5k list. You need to dump those 7 points.

I would sugest you dumped one of your suit teams and one of your tanks and instead beefed up your kroot abit and got your fire warriors stuffed into devilfishes.

Need to drop the ionheads need transports for the firewarriors i recommend getting a second pathfinder team even if you only use two teams of four to get it


after that no major problems lots of fireknives + lots of marker usually means a good list against space marines and chaos provided he doesn't run a load of thousand sons
