sup guys.
just want to see if you guys have any suggestions for building a tau army list of 2000pts. so far i have used the template at the back of the tau codex and have made these changes. Fire Warrior Team (w/df) - same Kroot squad - knocked down to 180pts (no hounds/krootox) Other fire warriors - pulse rifles+ Devilfish. Sniper Drones - Gone Pirahna - Gone Skyray - Gone for hammerhead Broadsides - thirs suit all with A.S.S Vespids - Gone Shas'o - Ninja-fied crisis team - PR's +MP's Stealth Team + 1 Marker drone any suggestions would be AWESOME but i am currently short on time and will post further info later. I can give you my thoughts on the matter but the real question is how do you want to play with the army? What units do you like/want to use, ect?

my main focus is to have a semi-mechanised hybrid army which can redeploy rapidly when required. i would want to focus firepower around taking out power armoured foes and i will put some units in which have proved effective against lower armoured foes once i have an idea of where things are heading.
couple of things to consider -possibility of employing ninja tactics -decent amount of markerlights -Railguns 3 or more at least |

Hi!
You would probably get more help if you moved this to the Army List section and made it a bit more detailed. OK i decided to add more advice. 1. You have NO markerlights, the drone is one but i don't see anymore. So i suggest a pathfinder squad. 2. Also how many FW are in your FW squads I'm assuming 6 in each, but just making sure. 3. I'm assuming "thirs" means three, so i would suggest dropping one and getting another HH on the field. 4. A kroot squad with no hounds to me sounds like a road bump is that what you are going for? 5. I would suggest dropping the stealthsuit squad. In my games they ALWAYS suck, whether its DSing off the board, landing to close and getting placed in the middle of no where or just being plain bad. I suggest maybe adding a bodyguard to your HQ to give him some more survivability. 6. A lot of things that I'm seeing on your list do not have upgrades. I'm assuming you just left them out because they are a give such as, MT on your suits and D-Pods on your dfish and such. 7. It seems just to me that your list doesn't add up to 2000pts, I'm also a little confused on what the squad sizes are of most things so if you could clear that up it would greatly appreciated. i am planning on having two pathfinder teams and in mock ups it appears that it may work 2. Also how many FW are in your FW squads I'm assuming 6 in each, but just making sure. The squads were 12 as shown in the picture at the back of the codex. my personal preference is 9 per team but 6 will preobably work. 3. Cold thanks for the clarification.
4. A road bump is when you use the kroot to slow down advancing units that are going to assault your FW or something else important, they give you that precious one more turn get away. 6. The warfish is worth it in my opinion if you take smaller squads of FW, if your are taking squads of 9-12 it may get a little expensive for you taste. 7. Thanks again for clarifying. Looking at other people's list will give you a great idea of what you need to change and what you might want to add to your army, but do not copy a list exactly just use it as guide and tweak it to your own liking.
