Default the real non confusing crisis suit config

Crisis Suit Configurations
Thanks to Zedd and [ dE.maCe ] for this.

Crisis Suits are probably the most flexible units in the Tau army and are able to assume many rules on the battlefield. Below are some configurations you can consider for your suit. Note that some configurations work best as a team while others are for a lone suit.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anti-Infantry Crisis suit: Burst Cannon, Missle Pod, Multi-tracker. This suit type is ideal for mopping up weaker types of infantry (Gaurd, Gaunts, Defenders, etc...). Give your Shas'Vre a drone controller with gun drones and you have yourself a team that can fire 12 str 5 shots (2 pinning) and 6 str 7 shots (for taking out light vehicles if desired).

Shas'O Guard: Shield Generator, Drone Controller w/ Shield Drones, Plasma rifle. Probably a useless configuration but nonetheless a creative one. Add 2 of these as bodyguards to your commander and you probably won't have to worry about him. These guys with the commander could make a good bullet magnet if kept in the front lines and would probably soak up a lot of Firepower. 3 of these as a team would be very interesting because now you have a unit that is much more easily sacrificed, albeit a waste of points.

Anti-Marine Crisis Suit: Plasma Rifle, Fusion Gun, Multi-tracker. This suit will negate the saves of both Marines and Terminators, also the Fusion Gun will come in handy against Dreadnoughts and Rhinos and such (especially if you can get behind them). I'd recommend giving Shield Drones to the Shas'Vre, as tacticals will be toting heavy weapons with them.

Anti-Light Armour Crisis Suit: Plasma rifle + Missile Pod + Multi Tracker. A common configuration for most tournament tau armies, can take out slightly heavier targets then infantry. can also take out some tanks. (Submitted by [ dE.maCe ])

Classic lone tank hunter: team leader + twin link fusion blaster + shield gen + hard wired drone controller + shield drones. expensive suit, but hopefully it can get close enough to tanks and blow them away.. although thats best suited for railguns.. (Submitted by [ dE.maCe ])

Assassin Suit: Plasma Rifle, Fusion Blaster, Multi-tracker, HW Drone Controller with gun drones. This type of suit should be a lone Shas'vre and it is best suited for going behind the enemy lines to kill commanders and artillery.

Anti-Nid suit: Flamer, Burst Cannon, Multi-tracker, and Drone Controller with gun drones for Shas'vre. A team of these would be a good idea against hordes of gaunts and genestealers. This type of suit is very good for killing many units with low T and Armor Save. However, take only one team of this type and if you take another Crisis Team give them long range weapons to pick off any Nids this team leaves behind.

ps thanks for the hard work zedd and [ dE.maCe ]

The Shas'O guard config is an excercise in futility. You don't have to worry about him if he doesn't have a singe bodyguard, in case you've never heard of Independant Character status.

Locked. A lot of articles on the main TO site come from this forum. This one isn't an exception.
