If you're talking about having two of the same weapon, then there is a simple answer:
No, it is not, beceause it says specifically in the rules that you cannot have two of the same weapon.

If you're talking about two [i]different[i] weapons:
It depends entirely on the situation.

Again, it depends 100% on the situation.
Arguably the best "all comers" combo is Fireknife - Plasma Rifle and Missile Pod, as it allows range, light armour destruction, fast fire, and save negation.

You scare me, man.

My favorite to date is "Death Rain"

Twin linked missile pods, and a target lock or flamer. An article MalVeauX wrote convinced me to try them out, and they worked fantastically. Nice cheap suit with a lot of bite, and stands a good chance of surving till the end of the game.

Hey "the-last-tau" this isn't a chatroom, so please make an effort to make your posts less painful to read. Thanks a ton.

I would like to see two of the same weapon that isn't twin-linked. Completely against the rules I know but I think I would be a nice thing to have. As far as battlesuit configs. It is true, it's completely dependant on what your facing, sure plasma or fusion will rip SM up, but put them against nids and your going to have a serious lack of shots. I've tried many configs and Fireknife seems to work best all around, but since im going against the galactic cockroachs (aka SM) mostly, Im thinking of switching over to twin-linked plasma with a MP and no multi tracker. Up close say good bye to power armor and at long range for rhino poppin. since your not going to be firing the plasma on the fly like you would from long range like the MP, the multi seems pointless, and up close, the re-roll for 2 hits seems better because whenever i shoot MP's at SM they always make their saves and the extra 2 shots dont matter. A full squad up close like this would be great, should be able to kill 3-4 per turn, from 3 suits. And at range you likely to punch anything with light armor as youll be shotting 6 MP shots.
