Default Scenario special rules and 'attached units'

I am playing in a campagn where my faction allows me to deepstirke two units that would not normaly be able to deepstrike.

If I were to choose a unit of Kroot carnivores as my option would I be able to play my 'attached' units such as Kroot Hounds and Kroot Ox or would I have to spend my second deepstrike option?

If I have to spend a second option do they all come out together?

I would guess that they can all deploy together. The rules for both Hounds and Krootox state that they are deployed as if they where the same Troop choice as the Carnivore Squad they are attached to. I would recommend not taking the Krootox, since if it prevents the Kroot from infiltrating, it might also be expected to prevent them from deep-striking. However, if you are using nonstandard rules, I would take it up with your opponents. The rules weren't written with those type of special cases in mind.

I would say they could deepstrike as they are part of a single squad. However, it would be best to ask your opponents or the person running the campaign.

Right I'll double check with the guys who run it and ask my opponents. I wasn't aware if there were any similar examples in other armies or any other obscure errata that would come into play. I'd only take krootox to add extra lethality to the then 49 model strong assault unit.

Don't take the krootox, it isn't worth it.

Here's a slightly similar question. Do attached units get the same battle honors? And experience points?

The way I figure it they acquire exp at the same rate since they fire/attack at the same time and make the same kills however they lose it/suffer penalties differently as they are different org slots and if for instance all of your hounds died they would take that penalty however if your kroot carnies lived they would not. And any Battle honors that applies to the parent unit would apply to the rest but they would roll seperately.

Yeh, but the double battle honors thing is kinda unfair. It's like getting double what evryone else is getting. I dunno, what you say makes sense and all.... Ah well I figure I'll just play them as the same unit.

Yeah I have a point, try and check with whoever is running the thing and it might be more balanced to just count mods to leadership/armor saves as the codex says for the hounds/oxen.
