I am confused. Perhaps this should be in Army Lists.
I'll be the first to say it; clean up the spelling. You'll get a great reception here if we can read what you type. Quote:

Even without knowing how your commander is kitted, there's no way you can get 1500 with what you have. If you want my suggestions for purchases, the first thing should be another devilfish for that second squad of warriors. Only Troops can hold objectives; as bland and boring as warriors might seem, you'll need them to win. Crisis suit teams would be next, they're the only way Tau can access special weapons. Aside from that, it's up to you. If you want more vehicles to play mechtau, you can go that route. If you want a solid base with quick elements, you can get into more static units like Sniper Drones or Broadsides.

I would recommend any of the following:
1-2 battleforces 1-3 broadsides (your best anti tank unit) 4+ crisis suits (2+ if you get the battleforces) A source of markerlights, either pathfinders or using marker drones with stealth teams. We can help you with a list once you have a codex and make something basic in the army list section here. Don't glue any of the crisis suits weapons on btw.

I have played tau for around two years and I just found this site. My recommendation for an army would be to take the hammerhead( use the blast) and for fast attack ALWAYS take a squad of pathfinders. Their markerlights make your whole army more accurate mekes the enemy flee and so on. You say theyare too high points to be useful IE wimpy armour. They are incredible at short range because if 3 fire markerlights and the rest shoot normally you can cause a pinning test at -3LD. If you are any good at converting try to convert a remora drone(use the sky ray bits) (pics on forgeworld). They can take down tanks with the missiles or strafe infantry. Their stealth shields are the same as stealthsuits so they attract a lot of fire and survive.

Two years? Well, you need to reread a couple of things...
1. Markerlights cannot make people flee; but they can make people more likely to stay put. 2. Pathfinders do not possess networked markerlights; therefore they cannot attack a unit whilst using the markerlights they gained from it. 3. Remoras seem a bit much to give to a new player. The flyer rules they use are a tad weird. Back on topic... The most I can make out of that army (based on estimations) is about 880 points. This means you're gonna need some serious purchasing to make 1500. I would follow juraigamer's advice here, and possibly throw on another hammerhead if you can get them. Skyrays aren't commonly considered to be as useful as the other slots; they need some experience to use effectively, and then you need to concentrate on making use of the skyrays for a while until you get used to them. Sorry if that first bit sounded like a rant, but I'd rather the rules were interpreted correctly. Anyway, my personal preference revolves around large numbers of crisis suits with missile pods and assorted other weaponry, backed up by broadsides and a couple of hammerheads. Kroot are preferable to fire warriors if you can get them AND get a setup with suitable terrain on it. RC

The same is true for increasing the BS of a squad, using two markerlights provides a +2 BS to a single squad, not everyone. Markerlights can be used to lower leadership when the enemy who was struck with them must take pinning tests, it cannot lower their leadership value for the 25% moral test at the end of a phase. Focus on the basic models for now, leave forge world alone until you have a decent army and understand of the rules.

2. Play a few games with whatever upgrades you desire. 3. After you figure out how this all works, move on from there and ask further questions. There is no ultimate configuration of Tau; it depends on what you prefer to do and what you like as a tactician. 4. Slow down. If you try to build a 2000 point army list in the first month of deciding you like the army, you'll burn out real quick and then you'll just stop playing altogether. I don't know how long you've been in this particular hobby, but having more models or more expensive models don't give you access to more wins.
