Default Seeker Missiles

Question: I'm not sure how they work exactly. I need a markerlight for them I know, but lets say I got 4m lights on one unit, does that mean I can launch 4 seekers from 1 vehicle even though it is str8 (offensive weapon)?

Yes because the seeker missles can ALWAYS be fired (unless of course the vehicle is destroyed) in addition to any other guns the tank can fire.

Everytime you hit with a markerlight, you can do one of two things, you can IMEDEATLY fire a seeker missile for EACH marker light hit, or you can use them to improve shot accuracy for another gun. The seeker does NOT count as the vehicle fireing. Hope this helps.

As it states in the codex, Seekers are remotely fired. But just rememeber that they are limited to 4 per model. So even if over the course of the game you manage to hit with markers like 6 times...unless youve got more then one vehicle that has them, your going to run out. They are a great weapon, and with Str 8, just be careful what you choose lol. Just don't use all the seekers up in one turn.

Would you like to point out where the rules say you have to assign markerlight hits immediately?

ShadowDeth what are you talking about? He's saying that for each mark you can either fire 1 Seeker Missile at the target you just marked OR paint the target for another unit. Simple. I see no ambiguoty, unless I'm missing the point..

How about if you want to launch the SMS? Do you need 4 marker lights for all 4 to hit? I have not used them yet so forgive the ignorance.

The SMS is one weapon that shoots 4 shots, you only need one marklight, which will apply to all 4 shots.

The same is true for the Submuniton Railgun. Any models it hits are denied cover saves, regardless of how many Markerlights struck them.
