Default Question about stealth suits

Hi I am collecting a Tau army and am planning to have a fairly large amount of battlesuits. There are two choices (crisis or stealth) and i am wondering what the advantages of stealthsuits are. Thanks.

Unfortunately, not many.

Deepstriking, Outflanking, and Infiltrating are all options of deployment (two of which are almost exclusive to XV15/25s). They look cool, and their fluff is neat IMO. Good anti-horde and harassment unit. My pal who plays Orks is terrified (quite irrationally) of them.

There's a pretty slim chance of the stealth field working at optimum range and the equivalent (actually slightly better) firepower can pretty much be found in Firestorms. They drop pretty fast once they get caught, 3+ save or no.

Personally I like 'em but there's the pros & cons off the top of my head.

Well, 6 Stealth Suits can punch in 18 S5 shots, and then jump away to 24", which with their stealth suit rules makes them fairly difficult to target
On the flip side, 3 Stealth Suits, with 2 Marker Drones each and 1 more Markerlight for the leader, can sit roughly 36" from the enemy firebase and unleash little red dots from hell, and will likely be better protected than Pathfinders, if a little more expensive
That being said, they lack the versatility, firepower, and badassery of Crisis Suits, in that they can only take Burst Cannons or Fusion blasters

I dont typically like Crisis suits as anti infantry as much as I like to give them the ability to compromise on it.

Stealthsuits give me dedication to anti personnel within 18inches. They give me the shots needed for bikers, and everything T4 or lower.

If im inclined to, anti tank with markers, or burst cannons.

that infiltrate has alot of perks.

----but I feel that more then two would be a waste.

Okay, I got it!

Stealth Marker Teams! I just used one to great effect in an 800 point game (including some CC killin' goodness).
Speaking of CC they make tough-as-nails speed bumps. 3+ saves, 2 attacks, and count as being in cover when they get charged.

The mobility is awesome though and the range is such that the Stealth Field actually does something. I'm sold on 'em.

technically since there is no DT test for attacking stealth suits, you could argue that there is no cover to be had.

The codex says they "count as being in cover if they are assaulted." To me that means the opponent strikes at Initiative 1 unless they have grenades.
