Default Putting together an army as a gift...!

Hey, y'all! I'd like a little assistance. I'm putting together a Tau army as gift to a friend for some work he's done for me, but I play Biel-Tan Eldar and Tyranids - the Tau are all a bunch of usurpers/biomass to me! Here's what I nabbed in a lot recently:

1x Commander Farsight
1x Battlesuit Commander
1x XV8 Crisis Suit
3x Stealth Suits w/ Marker Done & 2 Stealth Field Gens
24x Fire Warriors
1x Devilfish
1x Broadside

The lot ran me about $100, so with a bit of cash left over I'm looking to add a few things before I give it to him. If price weren't an object, what are the next three or four units you'd add to this force, in priority order?

(I'll note that based on his Dawn of War performance, he'll be a straight-up Mech player.)

Thanks!

I agree on a hammer head with more battlesuits after!

Though I wouldn't go soley on DOW for his play style i play hybrid tau (closer to static) yet on DOW i am either stealth spamming or completely mech.

Hammerhead - because Tau *need* their heavy support
Broadside - see above
Kroot - another Troops choice, allows for a more up close and personal approach
Devilfish - Fire Warriors are best off mounted in a transport

After that... more XV8 Crisis Suits will do

id say
1) hammerhead
2)devil
3) more broadsides to make a full squad (goes upto 3 total)

---- off note, the "stealth feild generator" thing from the stealthsuit team, you dont need it, its more or less just an objective marker thing, and has no need in-game. the Suits get their "nightfight" thing, regardless

To be honest, the first thing I would do is try and get your money back for Farsight. Whilst you can use him with what you've already got, his restrictions on the force he leads can be somewhat stifling for some players, particularly those wanting to play mechanised. Likewise, the Broadside suit doesn't work very well in a purely mechanised list so if you can get your money back for that too it'd be a good start.

Anyway, I'd recommend purchasing a Skyray box next. It contains all of the pieces necessary to make a Devilfish, Hammerhead or Skyray, and is the same cost as the Hammerhead box. If you get some Rare Earth Magnets, you can even make the parts interchangeable to get even more value out of it.

Following that, I'd recommend increasing the amount of Crisis Suits as I feel they tend to work better in larger numbers. If you can't get rid of the Broadside model then I'd suggest buying one or two more to increase the squad size to a decent level.

At this point, I'd highly consider purchasing another box of Fire Warriors, as you're getting to the sort of points value where you'll be needing more Troops to hold objectives. And if you wanted to keep the mech theme then I'd add a Devilfish to go with them.

Finally, to give some speed and flexibility, I'd consider a Piranha or two.

Good suggestions so far masked.
I agree on the Sky Ray box, though I'd go with the DF+FW combo box next and then the Crisis suit box to finish.

Feel free to bug me if your looking for another devilfish, firewarrior team, stealth kroot etc...

I am breaking down empire boxes, and can give you a good deal to boot. Nonetheless if I were anyone, I would try to round this team off with a few hammerheads. Best heavy support option for the little critters, and your tyranids will hate this!
