Default Balancing an army

[move]The perfectTau army[/move]

In a Tau army there must be a right amount of Tau and Kroot

(Treat these choices as being maxed out with everything like transport and stuff)

H.Q-Battlesuit and Ethereal

Elite-2xStealthsuits and battlesuit team

Troops-3xTau firewarriors with pulse riffles 1xtau with pulse carbine and 2x Kroot team

Fast attack-Gun drones and 2x pathfinders

Heavy support-2XBroadside team and hammerhead

This is a rougth list made quicklly so what do you reakon should be done to improve it?

My idea: Go with what you're good at. There is no perfect balance for everyone, because everyone uses their units differently.

If you plan on going totally mobile and just hitting and fading with no stands the entire time, maybe no kroot or one kroot, infiltrated into a point that they can uninfiltrate out of in a pinch. If you plan on using hammer tactics, maybe more kroot, less gunships.

Figure out what you're good at, and do it.

Well, it really depends on the path you're looking to take, as well as the point limit.
Some would say less BSs, and more HHs, others would say put in some hounds instead of the Drones, as well as no pathfinders.
Then there's the thought of using DFs, so that'll limit how many FW squads you want.
Some people would want more Crisis, while others more Stealths.
HQ options are also available, like bodyguards, or double Ethereals, or just two Shas'Os.
Just points these things out then ask again ^_^.

This is off topic but I just had to point that out! That is a very god way to look at things when dealing with units...even though an idea might work for some people, it may not work for others. That is why I like it when people suggest stuff, no tell them what to do. By suggesting, people are able to pick and choose what they like!

Kudos Vega62a!!! ;D ;D 8)
