Default Question: Markerlights and Multi-trackers

Lets say... You equip a Stealth Shas'vre with a Markerlight, and a hard wired Multi-tracker.

Can said Stealth Suit, if it doesnt move, of course, fire its burst cannon and Markerlight?

indeed it can, as these are two weapons systems, and he has a multi-tracker. The same works for a fire warrior team leader with the same combo (except with a pulse rifle instead of burst cannon).

Well, I must say, I am a little confused.

I havent found an answer in the official FAQ concerning this.

But, looking at the rules, its quite contradictory.

The Markerlight says, that its used instead of other weapons, yet, the Multi-Tracker says, you may use 2 weapon systems.

Does the Markerlight officialy count as a separate weapon system?

Tonya, I've never seen an official ruling on this, but I'd be inclined to say no. The use of the word "instead" has always suggested to me that, if you fire a markerlight, it's the only thing you're firing.

Yet another reaosn why an XV8 with a markerlight is a silly idea...

You really could argue it both ways, but the letter of the rule says that a markerlight is the sole weapon system the figure carrying it can fire. I do think that the blurb in the book pertaining to markerlights is probably intended to apply to pathfinders.

But if we were to follow the letter of the rule and use no common sense, I would have to agree it's a big NO as well.

Anyways, welcome to the board.

Quick question on the markerlight. You still roll to hit right? So you still gotta get pass that BS 3 Goldfish that is aiming it.
