Default An O'Shovah question.

I am currenly building building up my Tau army as a member of the Farsight Enclaves, but looking at the available lists, I have a question to ask in regards to it:

I understand that there is a limit on certain things, but I am not sure just what it means. It says:

Quote:
The following units count as 0-1 in an army lead by O'Shovah: Stealth Armour, Pathfinder Squads, Hammerhead, Broadside battlesuits, Sky Ray gunships & Piranha skimmers.
Seems simple enough, except... Does this mean you can only choose ONE choice out of that entire list, or can you only field 0-1 choices from each type; i.e. Can you field a squad of Broadsides AND one Hammerhead AND one team of Piranhas - or can you only field one team of Broadsides OR a Hammerhead OR a Piranha team?

It means you can choose 0-1 unit of each type.

So you could have 1 piranha squadron and 1 hammerhead if you so wish.

It's one from each type, so it's actually not that restrictive =P

Crikey! This crazy clown causes commotion like the coming of Christ. Certainly, still a curious and cordial cavalier in the countenance of crazed cads, curs and creeps who condemn courtesy as something corny. No cloud could collapse his crushing crescendo of comical crowing and crimson coiffure. This conjecture on culture comes circumlocutive, consequently...

Lovely

I don't see why some complain about an O'Shovah list being restrictive then... if anything it forces a player to be much more flexible.

When you can field that many crisis suits, not having lots of armour ain't a problem!

Suits ftw. Seeing as how this question was answered, I hope it would not be construed as hijacking the thread if I post question of my own rather than starting a new discussion. Why is Commander Farsight, our only unit with a decent close combat weapon, not armed with an assault gun of some sort?

It wasn't his initial training. He seems to have gottem more into CC after he discovered the Blade and after having fought the Orks.

Also, Tau don't really have and assault gun (unless you count the burst cannon-pffft), and Farsight probably doesn't have the resources to invent one. Although, if someone came up with fluff for it, that would be a very, very good idea.
