Default Hammerhead scatter?

I was thinking that the new rules state all template weapons must scatter ( excluding flamer) but the hammer head submunition is listed as heavy1 but the blast part is in notes not type. So does this mean it won't scatter?

On 5th you minus the scatter distance by your BS, now all weapon with blast markers scatter.

My point was it's TYPE is not listed as large blast as the large blast is in notes instead of type. Plus all the other weapons have their things like melts or pinning in type not notes.

Back in 4th ed you have to fire the blast, so if you miss you miss. Now ALL weapons that requires a blast marker regardless of type will need to roll scatter. Actually made things simple

I just realised as well that when looking in the wargear section it is listed under type but not in the thing that lists all of them. Darn there goes my idea.

Whats worse is that because the Tau codex is 4th ed, hence you can't add your BS for hammerhead above 5! Hence you really can't guarantee a non-deviation!

Yeah awhile back i remebered reading a long thread that debated this simply because they are worded different in the armoury and the summary table.

Most people while wanting the railgun sub not to scatter like in the old days agreed it was simply just not good enough reasoning to say it bypassed the no scatter rule in 5th. Its a good thing a hammerhead has a naturally high BS to slow the scatter.

P.S. One odd thing that i saw though was that in the 5th edition codex in the summary tables of all the weapons the submunition is the only weapon that says 5" blast, everything else says large blast

It's the 4th ed codex, but it's probably one of the last 4th ed codex released, so abit close to 5th ed.

At the End of the rulebook. They updated every reference sheet to 5th Edition to bring all the weapon to 5th edition specification.

Actually no. Tau is truly a 4th Edition codex.

The only 4.5 codice we have are: Eldar, ork, Deamon and Chaos Space Marines IIRC.
