Default A few rules I am a bit foggy on for the Tau and would like cleared please..

Here are a few of my questions:

1. Can a crisis suit move, Rapid Fire (if within 12 after movement), and shoot Heavy weapons with no penalty or limitations?
2. If you exit a devilfish, I assume you can rapid fire (FoF) but can you also move and assault after having your guys exit the ship? (My friend wants to know because he's a Dark Eldar player, no reason for me to assault)

Thank you.

1) Refer to codex, recoil absorbtion rule on page 16. They don't have any heavy weapons (unless your referring to forgeworld suits, in which case wait for IAV3).
2) Refer to rulebook, under transports, disembarking.

Its pretty clear in the codex and rulebook, for obvious reasons I can't quote directly from it, and it should mean there should be any disputes about this from your friend, seeing as its in hard print in official rules.

1: crisis suits can't carry heavy weapons. they're not in their armoury. but they can always rapid fire plasma rifles (twice up to 12", once up to 24", as per codex rules), and still make their assault move and unlike any other models in the game, they can assault an enemy unit after they rapid fire if they wish to. pointless really.
2: as per 40k rules, if your vehicle moves 12", your boys can only disembark, and yes they can rapid fire up to 12", they cant make an assault. HOWEVER, your vehicle is open topped(like DE transports), you can disembark and assault. BUt if the vehicle moves OVER 12", you can't.
by the way, if your fish made no move, your troops can disembark, and make a standard infantry move.

Its all in the rulebook. read it yourself, and get familiar with it.

it depends. Dark Eldar warriors have rapid fire weapons. they shoot them, they can't assault. they CAN shoot pistols ONCE and assault though, but im not sure if DE warriors can take pistols. if a unit has assault weapons (imagine a theoretical eldar guardian unit on a dark eldar transport) the vehicle could move 12", they could disembark 2", fire twice (shuriken guns are assault2) and still assault.
