Default [Modelling] Smart Missile Systems and Seeker Missiles

While helping a friend put together his Hammerhead Gunship we encountered a problem where the Seeker Missile component for the gunship takes up one of the side mounted 'drone bays' on the Hammerhead.

We were unable to find a conclusive ruling on wether for the Smart Missile System whether you require both said drone bays to contain the Smart Missile System components for them to be used.

In essence we are wondering whether we can simply have one of the drone bays occupied with the Smart Missile System components allowing us to put the Seeker Missile in the other one, which is the only place it can physically fit on the Hammerhead model.

Thanks

Dante

Eh? The seeker missile doesn't really fit in a cupola, it's mounted onto the hull, so you either just glue it on, use magnets, or tack it on during a game with blue tack and take it off when you don't want it anymore. :P

Most people like to mount them under the hull, on the little wing that the cupolas are attached to.

Thats odd though, as we haven't found any mounting point on the underside, or topside for that matter, of the Hammerhead. And in the instructions for mounting the missile it is said as mounted in one of the drone things.

I dunno :P

Well, on the underside of the devilfish there does seem to be some kind of rectangular knob of some kind right next to the cupolas, and the seeker missile bit has a sort of notch in it that fits, but you'll need to glue it in place or something to make it say. The front of the missile barely sticks out the front so you can see the missile and still leave the cupolas free for the SMS.

Nah, the seeker missile we have has a like ridge bit that fits into one of the drones when they are set up with the twin pulse-rifle looking biddo's. But oh well. The douche who was putting it together glued it without finding out whether or not you need BOTH drone bays to have SMS for it to be used.

Thanks for the help.

I find that they slot into the 'vent holes' near the where the drone fits - I can easily understand why it may look like the seeker missiles fit into the drone bays from the perspective of the instructions.. but they don't go there =\

Otherwise you glue them onto the underside of the vehicle, near the drone bays, but there is no actual slot or fin or anything for them to go on.
