If the kroot are so very much better, then why have IG? They have lower max numbers and aren't strong enough to get close to tanks or anything...

Can you use conscripts in a Tau army? if so then I would use round 100 of those and 4 fire squads in devilfishes in the FoF formation. But anyways, why?

Me, again...

Gue'vesa are slightly different to Kroot so fulfil different roles in a Tau army, which for the Gue'vesa is most commonly small squads equipped with EMP grenades to take out enemy tanks.

The Gue'vesa's uses have been discussed previously so it may be worthwhile you reading through these topics (found by search)

So enjoy your reading...

Thanks man, added u to my buddies!

Well I read page one, and decided that although IG aren't as good as kroot stat-wise, I do not think I will ever use kroot. I like mobile Tau that never see CC and thus will not need kroot. Imperail Guard troops are good to add (even though they are insta-kills) because they cost close to nothing, and i ususally play small battles (round 1000 points). However, I wouldn't see a point in using them in a high point battle, as they can be replaced by the ever-popular fire warriors and accompanying Devilfishes.

Maybe if they were conscripts (I luv conscripts); brining me to the question:

Nope. Can't use Conscripts in a Tau army.

I would recommend using Gue'vesa though as they add so much character to an army, which is a good enough reason for me to use them.

Also on the Kroot, many deem Kroot to be vital in a Mobile (Mech) Tau army, though i myself am not a Mech Tau player so cannot be of much help to you there, though if you wait a while i don't doubt that Dizzy will be able to fill you in on them. Furthermore i don't even use Kroot, nor ever have, as i am a Farsight Enclave Tau player so i can't really help you much with that.

Though there is one place you can look, so here is a link to the Mech Tau Bible (where information regarding Kroot in mobile Tau can be found along with the whole Mech Tau):

The Gue'vesa'la is basically there for conversions and to match the fluff of Commander Farsight...that's about all I can think of...

There are no set limitations, so Farsight can include as many as he {you} likes.
